Well here it is about 5 weeks into school and I've just now been able to start blogging. It seems my computer was having some technical issues at the beginning of school, I had to get a new one, then my blog site was blocked, and yaddah, yaddah, yaddah!! There are still some issues, but here I am--back in the blog world again.
Tonight is the JH boys last baseball game at Arnett. Good luck to them. Today most of the 9th-12th graders are at the FCCLA District Meeting at WW. Thursday HS softball and baseball districts start. Both teams play here. Check the school website for brackets.
So glad the weather has cooled off some. If we could just get some rain......
6th Grade Lang. Arts
Rd. & discussed p.110-111 aloud. Showed chronological order hand-out and answered together. Went over Robust Vocab words for Less. #4 (hand-out) p.40-41 in "Bold Moves" wb. and p.112-113 in textbook. Do reg. wb p. 19 by themselves (8 quest. over vocab. words) Due tomo.
8th Lang. Arts.
Begin new story in Lit. book="Monkey's Paw." Rd & discuss p.84=Motifs and comp/contr. Begin reading story aloud, p.85-98. Must finish reading on own by tomo.
7th English
Write in journal. No DOL this week. Spelling Wb. Less#5 and Vocab Wb. Less.#5 due Fri. Spelling Test #5 Friday. Go over mid-term grades with students. Go over AR zpd ranges with students. Set AR goal points with each student for AR Reward Trip at end of year. Continue with Less. #2 in "Break Away" wb.=Main Idea and Summarize. Discuss p.23. Do p. 24-25. Due tomo.
